| An excellent large tea ceremony Hira natsume or container for powdered thin tea, dating to the mid 20thC or earlier. Delicate hand-painted circular details with thick raised relief gold outlines adorn the black base coat lacquer. The large body and lid are turned wood coated in urushi or lacquer. Overall condition is excellent for age. Dimensions: 3" x 2 1/4". An excellent addition to any serious collection of teaware or for use by the tea practitioner. | ||
