| An antique Japanese Mingei Lacquer bucket dating to the early 20th C. Constructed from cherry bark and used by a lacquer craftsman to hold lacquer before application. The original strap made from old fabric is still present. These lacquer buckets are highly prized by collectors of Japanese mingei items and also by practitioners of Ikebana or Japanese flower arranging (please see picture) for their 'Wabi'sabi' feeling. Dimensions: 9" x 5". An excellent addition to any collection of Japanese mingei items. | ||
