This original oil on panel, "English Landscape," is by the artist Joseph Thors (England, 1863-1900). The condition is excellent, and the painting is signed in the lower left corner. The image measures 7 1/2" x 11 1/2;" framed it is 11 1/2" x 16."
Painting on Cardboard, ca. 1960. Signed 'Jos. L. Santoro.' There is paint missing along the edges with some apparent staple holes in the top center and corners. Measures 7 5/8" x 11."
This original oil on canvas is attributed to American artist Joseph H. Hidley (America, 1830-1872). There are traces of a signature in the bottom left corner of the painting. The painting is in good condition, and measures 17 1/2" x 25 1/2." Framed dimensions are 23" x 31." Provenance: Seltzer Collection, Charlotte, NC. The Gates of the Hudson is about 90 miles north of New York between Cold Spring Mountains and Storm King.
