Beautifully re-bound with the tree calf leather panels maintained front and rear; the spines are nicely gilt-detailed with a fish, a dog, a deer and a rabbit in four of the six spine panels. There is some foxing, but otherwise this is a clean, tight copy. 8 3/4" tall.

Philadelphia: Porter & Coates, 1877. 3/4 dark green Morocco leather and green cloth, signed Stikeman binding; spine has raised hubs and six compartments which are gilt-ruled and decorated with fish and fishing gear. The front hinge is weak, but the interior is clean and tight. 9 1/2" tall.

There is a tear in the upper right-hand margin which does not affect the image. The image measures 14" x 22," the paper is 18" x 24 1/2," the matting is 20" x 27."

Painting on Cardboard, ca. 1960. Signed 'Jos. L. Santoro.' There is paint missing along the edges with some apparent staple holes in the top center and corners. Measures 7 5/8" x 11."

There is some loss of paint in the center of the painting. The painting measures 24" x 30;" frame is 28 1/4" x 34 1/4."

Very good condition. Matting is 9 3/8" x 11 7/8," sheet is 8" x 10," plate mark is 5" x 7 3/4."

The paper has some light tearing along the sides and small pin holes in the corners. Measures 10 7/8" x 5 3/4."

Sketch on Crested Paper. This sketch accompanies a letter from J. Dickinson Logan to William Wister of 407 Walnut Street Philadelphia, written 25 February 1867. The letterhead also bears the same crest with 'L' and location 'Summerville' at the top. Also from the same Wister Collection, a letter from C. O. Sanford to William Wister, dated July 29, 1858, showing a hand-drawn pedigree of a dog owned by Wister, dating back 20 years to 1838...
