Sheet measures 22" x 16 7/8"

There is a slight stain to the mat in the lower center, but the image/sheet has not been affected. Sheet is taped to mat at the top. Sheet measures 14 5/8" x 10 7/8" Mat measures 17 1/2" x 13 7/8"

Original chromolithograph by American artist Alexander Pope Jr. titled "The American Quail." The image is attached to what appears to be its original backer sheet. There are full margins surrounding the image. The back sheet has been taped to the mat, but can be removed. There are a few tears on the sheet as well, but nothing is affecting the image. Mat measures 23 1/16" x 29" Backer sheet measures 21 9/16" x 27" Image measures 14" x 20"

Gilt lettering on front cover and on spine. Some rubbing and corners bumped. Interior nice with some minor foxing. Some - NOT ALL - plates were water damaged prior to being bound originally. A rare, nice example. 11" tall - 9" long - 3 3/4" wide
