| This pencil and black ink drawing by Dehodencq (France, 1822-1882) is in good condition and measures 7 1/4" x 5 3/4." The artist was born in Paris, and studied with Leon Cogniet and travelled extensively to Spain and Algeria. He debuted at the Paris Salon in 1844. He focused primarily on religious subjects and romantic history scenes. He won prizes in the 1840's and 1855, and received the Medaille du Legion d'Honneur in 1870.
