| By Bishop Meade. Complete in Two Volumes. Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott Company (1857). This set was reprinted circa 1910-1915. Also bound in at the end of the second volume is "Wise's Digested Index and Genealogical Guide To Bishop Meade's Old Churches, Ministers and Families of Virginia, Embracing 6,900 Proper Names," Compiled by Jennings Copper Wise, Member of the Virginia Historical Society; Richmond, VA, 1910. Both volumes are in blue ribbed publisher's cloth bindings with blind-ruled covers and gilt-lettered spines. The fore-edges are untrimmed and the top edges are gilt. The corners and spine ends are bumped and lightly worn. The interior is clean with some light toning. Volume I has 490 pages and Volume II is 496 pages plus the 114-page inserted pamphlet. 10" tall. | |||||||
