The beautiful Chinese lac-burgaute small bowl has side panels of finely detailed figures, landscape setting with a building and an island with trees and waves in inlaid iridescent mother-of-pearl. The small bowl is lined with silvered copper as well as the foot. It dates to the 18th century. There are surface age cracks on two of the sides. Size: 1 1/8” high x 2 1/8” x 2 ¼” (3.2 x 5.7 x 5.7 cm)

This beautiful and unusual Chinese lacquered portable traveling table folds in half and can be carried. Once unfolded the black lacquered underside has four rectangular compartments where the four legs are stored. The lacquered scene on the table top is of a landscape setting with mountains and pavilions and an arched bridge, with figures strolling about, the brown lacquer ground color is crackled. The legs have two sides that are exquisitely lacquered in a muted gold cloud motif and is the same cloud motif around the four sides of the table. One of the compartment lids is missing and in the photo you can see the exposed leg. The lacquer is in fairly good condition with signs of age throughout; the legs need to be re-attached. It is from the 18th century. The overall size when open as a table is 12 ¼” high x 31” wide x 23” deep (31.12 cm x 78.74 cm x 58.42 cm) when closed up it is 6 ½” high x 31” wide x 11 ½” deep (16.51 cm x 78.74 cm x 29.21 cm)
