Superbly modeled Chinese Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) painted pottery Guardian Figures, of two standing warriors in a relaxed stance dressed in well appointed armor and helmets, both are finely detailed with remaining pigment and gilt. They are 22 ¾” high, and both are in good condition.
These exquisite monkey book ends are finely cast with the monkeys positioned on rocky plinths, one monkey with a larger body has a long tail while the other one has a short tail. They both have expressive faces. The artist signature is engraved on the one plinth. Age: Meiji Period (1868-1912) Size: 6-3/4" high x 6-3/4" wide x 7-1/4" deep

This exquisite transparent stone is finely carving with a large “flaming pearl” with a sinuous dragon with reticulation, and in the lower portion is qilin. On a custom fitted wood base. Size: 8-1/2” high
The small seated Budai with his jolly face and rounded belly is wearing a long draped robed in blue and turquoise enamel with a raised design with various symbols and is holding a strand of beads. Size: 3-1/2” high
Pair of 19th c. small Chinese porcelain peachbloom-glazed vases with ovoid bodies and a short trumpet neck, a glaze of faintly mottled greyish crushed-strawberry color thinning to a paler tone flecked with dark and lighter green flecks. The inside of the neck had two pink bands with whitish band in the center. The concave base has a Kangxi six character reign mark in under-glaze blue. This elegant bronze circular vase is the form of a bamboo stalk with the grooved area around the body to resemble bamboo is overlaid with silver leafy bamboo stalks. It has a beautiful dark-brown patina. It is signed by the artist on the lower backside. 11-3/4” high

This larger pottery jar is from the Majiayao culture, Banshan-Machang type, the jar is painted in dry pigment with an elaborate stylized leaf pattern with cross hatching panels on each side and around the rim of the neck, with repeating half-circle design. The tall black lacquer wood shrine with interior gilt folding doors, elaborate gilt brass hardware, with a removable statue of a seated Fudo Myoo holding a sword, ferocious and menacing posture and facial expression to subdue evil and remove all obstacles to enlightenment, has a halo with flames. Condition: roof has areas of loss; it is the only area that has loss. Age: Edo - Early Meiji Period (1700’s – mid 1800’s) Size: 23.5” high x 15.5” wide x 13” deep.
