Chinese carved wood carving of a young male riding a water buffalo, the figure is seated side-saddle, with a hat hanging on his back and has a big smile, water buffalo with his head angled downwards and upwards with his mouth open, on a separate wood base with three circular holes and deeply carved with a leaf pattern and repeating dot motif. It dates to the late 20th century. Size: 8” high x 9” wide x 4” deep (20.3 x 22.9 x 10.2 cm)

This tall Chinese carving of Guanyin is holding a bowl standing in a niche on large lotus leaves positioned on a wave and lotus flower base, along the top side are tall bamboo trees, a panel with calligraphy, the reverse side had only the wave base carved and the top portion, the major portion is uncarved and in its natural wood form. It dates to the late 20th century. Size: 46 ¼” high.

Pair of Chinese intricately carved wood panels with figural scenes in architectural and landscape settings, the one panel has a beautiful pavilion with female figures and a male figure with a horse, and young person carrying suitcase on pole and a hat is dangling, and pine tree and flowering trees. The other panel has a pavilion with female figures and a male figure, with trees and a rocky precipice. They are both matted and framed. The age is 3rd quarter 20th century. The Mid 20th century Chinese zitan wood carving is finely carved, and it is depicting the legendary Taoists “The Eight Immortals” each with their attributes, in the center a few are playing the game go, while the female goddess He Xian Gu is seated on the left side with a deer. On the backside is a minor repair and a bird is missing its head. It is 23” wide x 5” deep.
