Chinese red-glazed pottery Taoist figures of the "Eight Immortals" with their finely detailed faces and hands of unglazed brown pottery, wearing long draped red glazed robes, and each Immortal is holding their attribute. They are all standing on molded pottery rounded bases with overlapping green and blue glazed clouds with calligraphy signatures at the back of each figure, and each figure is standing on custom fitted rosewood base. In Chinese mythology the Taoists "Eight Immortals" are believed to know the secrets of nature. Not only are they revered by Taoists, but by all of Chinese society. Condition: Immortal Han Xiang Zi is missing part of his flute, the other Immortals have no signs of breakage or any parts missing, they all have signs of age. Size: 22 ¾" high.
