|The artist is from the French Island of Martinique, and was born in Port-au-Prince on July 4, 1973. This painting is of men standing and moving around on boats with colorful fabric as masts near the dock and women seated with baskets or on their head, there is great movement in this painting, with his use curved lines in the form of the bodies. Wilfrid Louis his mentor, with whom he studied and was his inspiration, both artists are notable impressionists who portray the everyday life of Haiti with great sensitivity. Reynald has mastered oils as well as acrylics, and the palette knife as well as the brush. He paints to show his country in a realistic way, using his strong sense of color as a voice for his political conscience. Reynald Joseph, with his strong talent and his will to succeed, is one of the stars of the new generation of Haitian artists. Size: 46” x 36”|
