This beautifully woven fukusa is of the treasure ship “The Takarabune” - the cargo ship is carrying the “Seven Lucky Gods”. During the first three days of the New Year the Seven Lucky Gods become sailors of the Treasure Ship, the cargo the ship is carrying is known as takara – mono, or “treasure things”. It is beautifully framed. Age: Showa Period 1930’s-1940’s -Size: 37 ¼” x 34” (overall) (94.6 x 86.4 cm)
