|An Anglo-Indian Teak Campaign Chest that is solid Teak throughout including Teak backboards and Teak drawer bottoms, backs and sides, and with brass binding, flush brass drawer pulls, nicely shaped brass keyhole escutcheons and original solid brass English drawer locks, this is a true classic. In two halves, consisting of two full width drawers each and with correct replaced solid brass lift handles, this chest exemplifies practical portability which was its primary purpose. Used by British military officers, wealthy individuals on safari and London flat owners short on space, these chests were produced from the Late 18th Century through the Early part of the 20th Century. They were made in England, India and East Asia for use around the globe. Still practical, these chests are in demand today and this chest is the smallest example we have ever owned among the many that we have had through the years: 28-3/4" W. X 15"D. X 35-1/4" H. We accept time payments and quantity discounts, free delivery available with a 250 mile radius of Cape Cod. ** WE GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF OUR MERCHANDISE AS REPRESENTED.
