|A mid-nineteenth century Hand loomed seemless Jacquard Coverlet, fruit, flowers, eagles at four corners and a central medallion, brown, green and red, probably Pennsylvania origin, 78" X 78" not including fringe, in excellent original condition with no fading, tears, stains or holes. In the 19th Century, up until the Civil War Americans liked bright colors and bold patterns in their homes. Coverlets of the era were woven on hand looms with Jacquard attachments by professional weavers. They were easier to acquire than entirely hand sewn quilts of unique design. Production was mostly in the Middle Atlantic and Mid-Western states. We have a collection of many coverlets in exceptional original condition. Please inquire. We accept time payments and quantity discounts, ** WE GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF OUR MERCHANDISE AS REPRESENTED.
