A vintage natural carnelian agate stone bracelet, circa 1920, probably American. Agate oval beads separated by sterling links and faceted crystals. Spring ring clasp stamped sterling. Bracelet measures 6" long. Each tassel with one bead dangles an inch. Each oval agate bead measures approximately 3/4". The color and clarity are quite good. Very unusual Japanese gin bari cloisonne manju netsuke with hydrangea motif, circa 1890. Also, could display as small kogo. The transparent enamels of the hydrangea on the cover are exceptionally beautiful, with subtle shadings from lavender to pink and pale blue. The subject matter depicts Bakemono with an umbrella as a sake seller with a sake pot, an account book, and a badger on his back. His forehead is inlaid with a third eye. Featuring a fine Japanese pipe with silver mounts on either end and bamboo in the middle. The mouth piece appears to be copper or mixed metal and below that there is great work with a dragon in clouds and inlaid mixed metal eyes. The bamboo piece has painted designs in black to look like clouds. Not sure of the technique in painting this, maybe ink.
