A very unusual Chinese carving of a mystery ball, which are balls carved within balls. This was so difficult to carve and took much skill. The chain at the top appears to have been carved out of one piece. It is connected to a ring on the hat of the figure, perhaps a Chinese diety holding a lotus stem around her neck and a lotus leaf on her head. She has been connected to the balls. Superb Victorian 14k solid gold riding crop bar pin with horse's head in horse shoe. American made and stamped 14k on catch which closes very tightly. Very well made and in perfect condition. In the eye of the horse is a small round full cut diamond that is very bright, about 2 points. The point of the diamond can be seen from the underside. With persimmon motif, this very artistic, silver wire cloisonne vase depicts a desirable subject matter that is relatively hard to come by in Japanese enamels.
