Wonderful presentation heron/crane kogo with mon engraved on side of bird. Japanese hallmarks and Japanese characters for sterling silver on underside. There may be a gold wash on the beak and the top of the head, and part of the top of the kogo has a mat finish. This piece is in excellent condition and probably dates to the first quarter of the 20th century but could be a little latter. It measures 2 3/4" long x 1 1/2" deep x 1 1/2" high.

An early and fine cloisonne napkin ring made by one of the best makers of Japanese cloisonne in the late 19th century, Namikawa Yasuyuki. Measuring 7/8" wide and 1 3/4" in diameter.
