A French Mont Joye cameo glass vase with groups of hand painted enameled violets in 4 places circumventing the vase. Ruffled neck, cameo leaves and stems, all brushed with gold. Chipped ice background. Dates to the turn of the 20th century, circa 1900. Not signed but safe to attribute to Mont Joye. Excellent ground pontil with wear indicating age. A good Japanese mixed metal (shibuichi) pipe, 19th century, inlaid with gold and silver alloys. A river scene with bamboo leaves , 3 ducks amongst bamboo on the bank of a stream. A moon is rising over the hills of the bank. Very fine detail. Signed on the reverse side. Very good condition. Surface may be intentional, or may need professional cleaning. Not sure. No damages.
