Featuring a gorgeous hand painted 9" porcelain plate dating to the late 19th century. Skillfully painted with large cabbage roses in various shades of pink, rose and white with green leaves. Lovely scalloped shaped plate with gold on rim and touches of gold decoration below the rim. Rosenthal china co. early green stamp with crown and RC and Bavaria on reverse. Featuring an unusual Japanese tissue holder(Hakoseko)which was used when a woman wore a formal kimono and was stored in the obi. Stylized embroidered kiku in pink and lavender on white with gold divisions, all on white satin. Case still with tissues in pocket on outside, and on the inside, a mirror and another pocket with a paper holding wooden sticks(for cotton-cleaning ears?). Very fine Japanese cloisonne enamel cabinet vase, just under 5" tall. Beautiful sculptured silver wires outline the colorful lavender poppies with very fine detailed wires and the beautiful leaves in various shades of green. A red flower adds a nice contrast. A lovely bouquet on the reverse with buds, flower and grasses is a bonus. The intricate boarder and overall excellent workmanship are indicative of the Hayashi workshop. Wonderful porcelain figurine of peacefully sleeping white cat, possibly Nymphenburg, European or Japanese. Finely modeled with unusual colorful bow. Very life like and great shape with its rear haunch curled under chin with tail. I love this little guy. He measures 6" long, 3 1/2" wide and 2" high. He is in purrfect condition except one tiny spot on the rear tip of his right ear which feels just a tiny bit rough and I think is a burst bubble from a firing flaw and in the making.No ...click for details
