The magnificent profuse flowers are all artistically hand painted and decorate both sides of the cup and in 4 sections of the saucer. Featuring an amusing and playful 18th century Japanese carved wooden netsuke depicting Hotei wrapping himself in a bag, using his mouth as a third hand to help complete the task. Unsigned.
