Featuring a fine Japanese pipe with silver mounts on either end and bamboo in the middle. The mouth piece appears to be copper or mixed metal and below that there is great work with a dragon in clouds and inlaid mixed metal eyes. The bamboo piece has painted designs in black to look like clouds. Not sure of the technique in painting this, maybe ink. The pipe piece also has a design tooled into it, probably relating to the dragon motif. There is a hallmark on both metal pieces(see photo of one). ...click for details

An amazing very early Chinese lacquer small tray dating to the 18th century with intricate inlaid mother of pearl known as Lac Burgate, a French term. Gorgeous Japanese porcelain tea cup/saucer with fine decoration painted by hand in the late 19th century in the Arita/Imari area of Japan. Featuring an unusual Japanese tissue holder(Hakoseko)which was used when a woman wore a formal kimono and was stored in the obi. Stylized embroidered kiku in pink and lavender on white with gold divisions, all on white satin. Featuring a rare, English, early to mid 19th century, antique sterling silver and coral baby rattle and whistle. Lovely repousse work all over the surface. There are 5 bells(the 6th one is missing), a ring for hanging, and a fine coral piece for teething and good luck. 19th century Chinese porcelain snuff bottle with biscuit type finish with 18 wise men depicted, hand painted. Chien Lung mark on base. Old ivory top and ivory spoon. Measures 3 1/4" high, 2 1/4" wide and about 1 1/2" deep. Featuring a very lovely and unique little sterling bowl mounted with a beautiful jade ring boarder. Made in China for the fine Japanese store, Yamanaka. Stamped Made in China Yamanka. Not marked sterling but tested and guaranteed. Measures just under 3 1/4" in diameter and 1/2" high. Dates pre WWII, around 1920 but could be older. Very interesting, unusual little piece.
