Sold, thank you!

Featuring a very rare early English sterling silver sealing wax jack. Hallmarked on handle, foot, snuffer and on top piece. The hall marks are hard to decipher, but there are lions, a C in a shield that looks like the Newcastle C for 1769, and there is the castle for Newcastle. There are makers marks of GN over HH in a shield. It is very hard for me to determine the age of this piece, but it is very nice and may be this early. Sold, thank you!

A very unusual Chinese carving of a mystery ball, which are balls carved within balls. This was so difficult to carve and took much skill. The chain at the top appears to have been carved out of one piece. It is connected to a ring on the hat of the figure, perhaps a Chinese diety holding a lotus stem around her neck and a lotus leaf on her head. She has been connected to the balls. At the base is open work leaves connecting to 3 peaches, the symbol of longevity and a tassle hangs from this. I a ...click for details
