A fine French desk set with ivory handled wax seal, pen and letter opener (doubles as a bookmark) in fitted box with red velvet lining. The ivory handles of all 3 pieces are beautifully hand tooled with gold and silver designs of shells, flowers and scroll boarders. Good cross hatching grains in the elephant ivory. On the sterling silver mounts of the pen are French hallmarks of eagle head and head of woman. The letter opener also serves as a bookmark. Featuring a miniature object d'art, a rare little antique Austrian figural enamel scent bottle in shape of a barrel or keg of wine/spirits depicting courting scenes on either side, and on one end, a man and the other, a woman.
