Featuring a very rare early English sterling silver sealing wax jack. Hallmarked on handle, foot, snuffer and on top piece. The hall marks are hard to decipher, but there are lions, a C in a shield that looks like the Newcastle C for 1769, and there is the castle for Newcastle. There are makers marks of GN over HH in a shield. It is very hard for me to determine the age of this piece, but it is very nice and may be this early. Fabulous large sterling silver water pitcher, circa 1900, unusual octagonal shape.Unidentified hallmark and "Hand Made" and "sterling" marks.The exquisite design is all hand engraved and is quite beautiful with urns, scrolls, flowers and much more detail. Featuring a fine pair of George III sterling silver berry spoons. Classic form: raised repouse fruit and steaming leaf design on slightly gold washed bowls. One spoon dates to 1799, the other to 1805. Excellent condition. Featuring a rare Austrian sterling silver snuff or curio cabinet box with an intricately engraved scene on cover and on the reverse, beautiful engraved scroll designs. On the cover is engraved under the castle scene "Das Schlofs Weilburg Bey Baden in Oesth". A very fine English small sterling bowl, a replica of a monteith bowl. Fully hallmarked with the leopard head (London),lion (England),letter d (1900) and makers mark, WC JL in shield. The underside of the foot is stamped Goldsmiths Company 112 Regent Street. This company sold many fine pieces of silver and jewelry to the Royal family and has its own history. Featuring a very pretty 9" French Limoges plate, hand painted with pink flowers and an ornate gold rococo border. Stamped with green mark MR France patent applied for. MR is the mark for M. Martial Redon was a fine maker/decorator of Limoges china and his company was founded in 1853.
