A very fine English small sterling bowl, a replica of a monteith bowl. Fully hallmarked with the leopard head (London),lion (England),letter d (1900) and makers mark, WC JL in shield. The underside of the foot is stamped Goldsmiths Company 112 Regent Street. This company sold many fine pieces of silver and jewelry to the Royal family and has its own history. This pair of grape scissors are unique with the rams heads on each handle seen from both sides. I have never seen any grape shears like this before. Excellent Gorham small ladies flask/bottle with beautifully hand worked repousse flowers.Gorham hall mark and rooster which dates it to 1890. The cleverly made hinged top with original cork screws in a groove to open and close it so that it shuts tightly.
