Featuring a fine antique Chinese export Nanking cup and saucer made for the china trade. Unusual with the reign marks painted in under glaze blue on both pieces. Dates late 18th to early 19th century, possibly the Chien Lung reign. Excellent condition. No cracks, damages, chips, hairlines or restorations. Tiny firing flaw on saucer, left side. Four finely painted scenes: women and children in Japanese domestic scene, landscape with pagodas and waterfall, white dove and smaller blue bird amongst wisteria and, lastly, a yellow bird with purple iris and butterflies.
