Featuring a large original Japanese(possibly Chinese) watercolor brush ink painting on paper with river and misty mountain scene, possibly a Chinese scene which resembles Guilin, China. Man poling flat raft boat, typical of that area. Mounted in silk. Bone or ivory rollers. Minor creases, no holes. Generally, very good condition. Hanging threads at top and ties. Featuring an intricately carved 19th century Japanese netsuke of a man waking up, or in agony, not sure which. Is he yawning, or in pain? With his feet in the air, his hand to his head, he is lying by a bundle of firewood, a gourd, and is wearing a pipe case and pouch, inlaid as are eyes. The teeth are amazing, as is all detail. Featuring a lovely Satsuma plate with an exquisite subtle scene of a pair of male and female ducks swimming amongst grasses and pale pink flowers with gold centers. The artist that painted this scene used great skill in all details, shading and blending of colors, and with the suggestion of haze to the left side as it fades into shadow foliage in the distance. Featuring a charming early 19th century Japanese ivory netsuke depicting 3 clams clustered together with a crab peeking out from one. Very compact and feels nice when clasped in palm of hand. Excellent condition. Unsigned. No chips, damages or restorations. There are some lines that are found in older ivory and one inlaid eye in crab is missing the inlay. 19th century Chinese porcelain snuff bottle with biscuit type finish with 18 wise men depicted, hand painted. Chien Lung mark on base. Old ivory top and ivory spoon. Measures 3 1/4" high, 2 1/4" wide and about 1 1/2" deep. This bottle came out of a local estate of a knowledgeable collector where the bottle resided for decades.The collector belonged to the Antique Appraisers Association of America and was discriminating in his taste. Fine Japanese studio porcelain 3 legged koro with pierced pink chrysanthemum cover. Design carries over to base with artistically drawn leaves. Signed Kato Kanzan on the reverse of the lid. Measures approximately 4" in diameter and 3" plus in height. In excellent condition. No chips, cracks, repairs or damages. A fine quality colorful and artistic Japanese cloisonne cabinet vase worked with silver wires dating to the Golden Age. Iris clumps growing in stylized water(a Japanese design often found on the works of Kumeno Teitaro) and various aquatic plants on a cobalt blue background. Much fine work encircling vase on all sides. Unusual extra piece at top with fine silver wire design on top. Greek key design in silver wire boarder around neck.
