Featuring a fine Japanese silver wire cloisonne enamel vase covered with profuse flowers and a long tailed bird in a tree, probably a pheasant.The vase, with a lovely graceful shape and narrow neck, measures 6" tall and a diameter of approximately 2 1/4" at widest point. Featuring a fine Japanese black lacquer box with 3 gold and silver medallions with geese flying over grasses, another with kiku (cherry blossoms), floating on water, and the last with chidori flying over waves. Three typical, beautiful motifs in Japanese design! The box dates circa 1900. Artistically decorated with colored and gold lacquer decoration, consisting of bird and leaves. 11.5" tall and approximately 5.5" wide at widest part. Featuring an intricately carved 19th century Japanese netsuke of a man waking up, or in agony, not sure which. Is he yawning, or in pain? With his feet in the air, his hand to his head, he is lying by a bundle of firewood, a gourd, and is wearing a pipe case and pouch, inlaid as are eyes. The teeth are amazing, as is all detail.
