Featuring an outstanding pair of Chinese women musician elephant ivory carvings dating to the late 19th century.Fresh from a fine collection/estate where they were enjoyed and well cared for over many years. The fine detail in the seated figures is evident in their facial features, hair, flowing robes,cords, etc. The stands are inlaid with silver wires. Very unusual and beautiful fine silk weaving of lake scene in China. The weaving looks like a painting, finding its origins in Beijing China. The silk work was all finely hand worked by splitting the silk threads up to 40 times each, layer upon layer for depth. Some water color was used in the trees, water shadows and mountains. Featuring a fine Japanese antique Ichibana vase, hand made from wood, probably bamboo. Artistically decorated with colored and gold lacquer decoration, consisting of bird and leaves. 11.5" tall and approximately 5.5" wide at widest part.
