Featuring a fine little Japanese cloisonne miniature teapot. Much wire work and panels of wisteria, flowers and butterflies on aventurine or silver foil backgrounds. Nice borders, many cloisons in background with colorful rondels. Excellent condition! No enamel missing or damages except small spot on interior of cover where finial is screwed. Featuring a fine Japanese black lacquer box with 3 gold and silver medallions with geese flying over grasses, another with kiku (cherry blossoms), floating on water, and the last with chidori flying over waves. Three typical, beautiful motifs in Japanese design! The box dates circa 1900. A rare and fine example of mid 19th century Japanese porcelain from the Arita area of Japan. It is completely hand painted depicting classic ancient scholars with books and brushes. There are touches of brushed gold on the boarders, clothing, and furniture. The porcelain is a gray-off white. The painting is extremely well done. A Chinese porcelain blue and white snuff bottle signed with the Chien Lung mark, but probably dating to the mid 19th century. Decorated with scenes of high ranking official under canopy with attendants and military. Tells a story since there is a cloud like design coming from the leader's head to the attendant before him(like a cartoon drawing when the words come from the head of a person).
