An attractive Chinese Pewter Tea Pot, of melon ribbed form, with decorative sprays of branches and leaves set with several cabochon stones of agate, jade, amethyst, and a yellow stone. Also, the handle of light colored jade, and the finial a dark green stone. The handle with dragon head. Lovely shape and decorative. In excellent condition with no damages or repairs. Featuring a good Meiji Japanese ivory netsuke of gamma sennin with frog on back, leaning over shoulder to hold hands with sennin. Compact piece with very nice detailing on Sennen's hair, frog's back, and pleasing, peaceful expressions of their faces. They seem very happy together! Featuring a very lovely and unique little sterling bowl mounted with a beautiful jade ring boarder. Made in China for the fine Japanese store, Yamanaka. Stamped Made in China Yamanka. Not marked sterling but tested and guaranteed. Measures just under 3 1/4" in diameter and 1/2" high. Dates pre WWII, around 1920 but could be older. Very interesting, unusual little piece. An interesting antique Japanese carving made from the material known as Umimatsu in Japan. This material is thought to be black coral or petrified wood, or possibly somelacquer. In the natural shape of a coral or petrified wood branch with a well carved bird with a red glass inlaid eye. A good Japanese mixed metal (shibuichi) pipe, 19th century, inlaid with gold and silver alloys. A river scene with bamboo leaves , 3 ducks amongst bamboo on the bank of a stream. Featuring a superb, rare, museum quality, impressive, monumental, Japanese cloisonne enamel vase with raised archaic design. The rare raised technique is known as moriage. Vase measures 14 3/4" tall x 9.5" in diameter at widest point in the middle. The neck opening measures 5.25", and the base rim measures 6". The vase weighs 6.5 pounds.
