Featuring a detailed all hand painted and decorated Japanese porcelain 7" plate with much gilding,brocade work,and hundreds of tiny flowers and foliage. Dating to the late nineteenth century, this Fukagawa plate is in very good condition, but has been professionally restored on the back of the rim only in 1 very small place. Featuring an unusual Japanese tissue holder(Hakoseko)which was used when a woman wore a formal kimono and was stored in the obi. Stylized embroidered kiku in pink and lavender on white with gold divisions, all on white satin. Case still with tissues in pocket on outside, and on the inside, a mirror and another pocket with a paper holding wooden sticks(for cotton-cleaning ears?). 19th century Chinese porcelain snuff bottle with biscuit type finish with 18 wise men depicted, hand painted. Chien Lung mark on base. Measures 3 1/4" high, 2 1/4" wide and about 1 1/2" deep. The bottle is in excellent condition. The rose quartz top and bone spoon are a replacement. The rose quartz stopper compliments the colors of the bottle and they look very nice together. Featuring a dramatic and wonderful Japanese studio Hirado porcelain plate with a mythological 4 footed beast with a dragon face, possibly an unusual form of a kirin, and a long coiled dragon, both facing each other and ready to attack. Dating to the last half of the 19th century. Measures 9 3/4" in diameter. Very good condition with no chips, cracks, restorations. There is some surface wear with light scratches. Fine Japanese studio porcelain 3 legged koro with pierced pink chrysanthemum cover. Design carries over to base with artistically drawn leaves. Signed Kato Kanzan on the reverse of the lid. Measures approximately 4" in diameter and 3" plus in height. In excellent condition. No chips, cracks, repairs or damages.
