Wonderful presentation heron/crane kogo with mon engraved on side of bird. Japanese hallmarks and Japanese characters for sterling silver on underside. There may be a gold wash on the beak and the top of the head, and part of the top of the kogo has a mat finish. This piece is in excellent condition and probably dates to the first quarter of the 20th century but could be a little latter. It measures 2 3/4" long x 1 1/2" deep x 1 1/2" high.

A Chinese porcelain blue and white snuff bottle signed with the Chien Lung mark, but probably dating to the mid 19th century. Decorated with scenes of high ranking official under canopy with attendants and military. Tells a story since there is a cloud like design coming from the leader's head to the attendant before him(like a cartoon drawing when the words come from the head of a person). Very fine and unusual silver wire Japanese box, circa 1880 with mythological animals,phoenix,lion, flying dragon. An unusual and fine Japanese Golden Age naturalistic cloisonne napkin ring done in the style of Namikawa Sosuke. The artistically rendered cherry blossoms in shades of pink and white encircle the napkin ring on a gray background, a lovely color combination. Fine Japanese studio porcelain 3 legged koro with pierced pink chrysanthemum cover. Design carries over to base with artistically drawn leaves. Signed Kato Kanzan on the reverse of the lid. Measures approximately 4" in diameter and 3" plus in height. In excellent condition. No chips, cracks, repairs or damages. Circa 1900.From a local estate of a knowledgeable collector that belonged to the Appraisers Association of America.
