Featuring an unusual and well carved tiny netsuke of Kinko riding a carp, the subject taken from a legend in Japan. In the book, Legends of Japanese Art, there is an interesting paragraph written about this subject. This netsuke is very well carved, the feet and hand details being quite precise, plus every detail is excellent. The surface of the carp is textured and his eyes are inlaid with baylene.
