A fine mid 19th century French Palais Royal grand tour chatelaine perfume scent bottle with, on either side, hand painted water color miniature scenes of French monuments(arc de triumph/Madeline church?) which are covered with original rounded glass. Paintings on ivory or paper. Gold ormolu and carnelian agate seal base. Small bezel set glass turquoise stone set in repousse cover. Caryatid female figure handles flanking either side. Original glass stopper. Circa 1850. Bottle 2" high x 1" wide x 1/2" deep. With chatelaine finger ring and chain, 4" long. Excellent condition but the turquoise glass stone in top of cover has a chip. Hardly noticeable unless looking under high magnification. No other problems and really excellent considering age. Postage insurance extra.
