A fine antique Japanese Meiji ivory okimono carving of a skull with a frog perched on top of the skull. Late 19th century. Height 1.5" x approximately 1" wide x approximately 1 1/8" deep. Excellent condition. No damages or repairs. This piece was one of a superb collection donated by the estate of Henry E. Huntington and de-accessioned from the Museum of the Palace of Legion of Honor in San Francisco in the late 90's.
