| A fine mid 19th century Mamluk revival inlaid small brass bowl. Intricate silver, copper and tooled background design with leaves and Arabic or Islamic script encircling bowl. The center medallion on the base with endless knot design is quite detailed and finely worked as is the entire bowl. Appears to be all hand hammered/made. Almost 5" in diameter and over 2" high. Very heavy, weighing 8 1/2 ounces. The patina is excellent, the inlay is thick and raised and overall bowl is in excellent condition. This piece came out of the estate of a well known local, extremely knowledgeable collector that was a member of the Appraisers Association of America. He had excellent taste. Everything from his collection was a collectors item. Return privilege providing item returned in sent condition shortly after having received it and the way it was packaged. Postage/insurance extra. New York buyer pays their local county sales tax on item and shipping charges unless valid resale number and New York resale certificate provided. | ||
