Featuring a fabulous Hutschenreuther plaque with Royal Vienna painting that makes a political statement,and entitled at the bottom of the plaque in German, "Klapperstorchs Mustlerlager" or the storks delivery room. The painting depicts the reigning delegation ready for delivery of the new era, or you make the choice. From left to right are the powers of the New Era, the King of England, Whistler,Von Bismark, Mary Queen of Scots, the archbishop of Ireland, Queen Wilamaya, the rich and the peasant of Russia, being strange bedfellows and the scale of justice being unbalanced. The different colors of ribbons holding the babies indicates the dominance of the particular person. Whistler with the pink ribbon showing a weakness, Queen Wilamaya with a blue ribbon showing strong dominance, and Mary Queen of Scots with a pink ribbon showing her weakness of power.
The letters at the bottom left are all addressed to the stork and are all documents from their period in history. You can see the letter from Ireland covered with blood spatters. Each letter has its request to the stork. On the lower right hand corner is the signature of the artist, Baerschneider. The plaque measures approximately 9 x 13, and with the frame 16 x 12. It dates to the late 19th century. The porcelain was made in Germany, and the painting was done in Austria by Royal Vienna. It is in mint condition, with no chips, scratches, damages or restorations.
