Beautiful medium size Chinese rose Mandarin teapot with excellent art work and soft golds dating 1736-1795, the Qianlong period. The teapot measures 5 1/4" high, approximately 5" in diameter, and about 7 3/4" from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. The colorful scenes are the same on both sides with geometric boarders and other art work in between the scenes. The teapot is in excellent condition with no damages, restorations, cracks or chips. There is a small firing flaw on the rim base(see photo) which ocurred in the making. The gold has a nice soft patina and is slightly worn.
