Miniature water color painting on ivory of a distinguished gentleman artist signed JC, set in solid gold frame with ring and hanging ring if worn as jewelry/pendant. The portrait could be of Teddy Roosevelt, not sure. On the gold back there is the stamp Black Star & Frost which was a prominent, well known fine silver and jewelry store in New York city similar to Tiffany's. It latter became Black Starr and Gorham. The frame is not marked, but it has been tested at 14k-18k gold. Weighs 25.5 grams with glass and ivory. If one took off 5.5 grams for the glass and ivory, and figured $36 a gram at 18k, it would be worth $720 in gold weight along! Measures 2" x 1 1/2" wide. Return privilege providing item returned in sent condition within 3 days of having been received. Postage/insurance extra. New York state buyer pays their local county sales tax on item and shipping unless valid NY tax number and resale certificate provided.
