Japanese bronze holder/bowl/vase for simple flower arrangement known as Ichibana in Japan or could be used for a bonsai plant. The Ichibana arrangements are simple to display seasonal flowers and plant life in an artistic and exacting manner. This classic rectangular shaped bowl/vase is on 4 bamboo feet with bamboo motif on either side and 2 snails perched on either end. It measures 8 1/2" long x 5" wide x 2 1/2" high. Some wear due to age and use, but generally in very good condition. One snail may have lost the tip of its feeler and is slightly loose. Ir is riveted to the base.
