| Beautiful French enameled plaques grace the 4 sides of this ormolu dried flower or potpourri holder. The plaques are all different and are decorated with medallions of exquisitely hand painted flowers. The medallions are surrounded by a boarder of raised jewels that are probably also enamel but look like opals. Gold scroll work surrounds the jewels. All set in a wonderful blue background which is painted(or inlaid with gold foil) stars. All plaques in excellent condition. Gilding on ormolu excellent with no wear. The bottom of this holder is a piece of velvet mounted on some sort of board. A brilliant example of French enamel from the mid 19th century. Return privilege providing item returned in sent condition shortly after having been received. Postage/insurance extra. New York buyer pays their local county sales tax unless valid tax number and resale certificate provided. | ||
