Antique Japanese Kiku Brocade Tissue Holder Ivory File

Featuring an unusual Japanese tissue holder(Hakoseko)which was used when a woman wore a formal kimono and was stored in the obi. Stylized embroidered kiku in pink and lavender on white with gold divisions, all on white satin. Case still with tissues in pocket on outside, and on the inside, a mirror and another pocket with a paper holding wooden sticks(for cotton-cleaning ears?). A separate piece, a small embroidered sleeve with tassel, holds an ivory nail file. Another piece, a band(that holds the set together), has a cord attached to it with a small purse-like netsuke at the other end and 2 plastic orange beads(ojime-like) ensemble to open and close the band. Very clever construction. Made in the style of an inro/netsuke ensemble. Some soil to white satin. Otherwise in excellent condition. Measures 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 3/4". Return privilege providing item returned in sent condition within 3 days of having been received. Postage/insurance extra. Sales tax charged if sold in New York state unless valid tax number and resale form provided.
