| Super quality -- charming scene -- the base is about 4 X 5 inches , it's about 4 inches tall -- a grandmother, grandfather, and grandson are all in beautifully decorated & folded kimono --the woman is preparing rope to weave a tatami - the man & boy are standing together looking at a turtle -- the turtle is tied up with a harness -- there is an intricate coil of rope on the ground next to a basket of gourds -- two small pieces of ivory rope are missing -- one in the woman's hands -- one as a leash from the boy to the turtle -- otherwise what is there is in excellent condition -- please check all the photos -- signed on the bottom - signature in a lacquer plaque in a carved basket -- WONDERFUL PIECE -- probably late Meiji -- feel free to email questions | |
