| This is a 21 JEWEL ELGIN POCKET WATCH by ELGIN WATCH COMPANY. The SHUGART COMPLETE WATCH GUIDE states the B.W.RAYMOND grade 571 was introduced in 1950; the model conformed with all railroad specifications as 16 size 21 jewels, and (8) eight adjustments; the movement is lever set and has a white dial & black numbers. Dial reads as follows: B.W.Raymond/ ELGIN. Movement reads as follows: ELGIN 5-7-1 USA/ F 158679/ 8 ADJUSTMENTS/ 21 JEWELS/ B.W.Raymond. Purchased from a Maryland Estate the Woman's Husband was a RAILROAD MAN and was his personal Watch. A Very Well Cared-For Timepiece this Yellow GF OPEN FACE Watch has Diamond Shape Designs around the Dial; crystal here is tinted yellow and Dial beneath is White.
