This is a northern Song dynasty green glazed bowl. It stands on a foot rim with a recess base exposing the light buff colour stoneware and then extending upwards with a C-shaped rounded body with a rounded rim like a lip. On the cavetto, it is incised with four bud of swirling flowers with lightly combed designed in between and the centre of the bowl.

The bowl is in good condition with the exception of minute abrasion and glaze fritting...

This is a Tang dynasty funerary sancai or tri-colour tea cup set. It has a tray with seven cups on it. All the items stand on a flat base. The tri-colour is green, beige and amber, both in long streak partially outside and inside of the tray and tea cup.

There is no repair or restoration, some abrasion and bubble burst. Some expected degradation, chips & minor losses as a consequence of long period of burial and subsequent cleaning...

This is a qingpai ewer or jug from the Song Dynasty. The qingapi ewer is of sea greenish hue. It stands on a recess 2 tier base with a curving body of a baluster or bulbous shape extending towards a flatten shoulder and then a mildy everted neck and mouth. The body is also lightly incised with some form of design. This is a shipwreck item.

This is a nice small qingpai jarlet from the Song Dynasty. The qingpai colour is of sky blue hue. It stands on a flat base with a ribbed body with a shoulder towards the mouth rim. On the shoulder it has a ring of lotus leave life lappet.

The qingpai jarlet is in good condition. No chip, repair, restoration or glaze fritting, only some bubble burst as shown in the pictures.

The measurement of the qingpai jarlet: The height is 4.2cm and the and the width is 5.3cm.

This is a nice piece of cobalt blue glazed scholar’s brush stand. It has three mountains with scene of the “Hai Ma” flying amidst the ocean waves on both side of the stand. Circa. 19th century.

The brush stand is in good condition. No chip, repair, restoration or glaze friting.

This is a circular copper scholar’s ink box with etching of a love poem on top of the cover. It has three seal ark on it, one on the extreme right and two just below the two below the name of the author. This is a nice conical shaped Song dynasty (960 – 1276) medium size bowl of light grayish glaze. It stands on a short foot rim and recessed base rising to an everted conical shaped glazed body stopping short of the rim, exposing the stoneware of light grey colour. On the inside of the bowl, along the cavetto, it is incised with a cloud like motif with light combed hair line mark. On the base inside of the conical bowl, some minutes shaved particles could be seen...

This is a small and thinly potted Song Dynasty (960 – 1276) small yingqing bowl. It stands on a short glazed foot rim and base rising to an everted c-shaped glazed body stopping short of the rim. Both the rim inside and outside of the bowl is unglazed exposing the porcellanous body.

The small yingqing bowl has abrasion, glaze crazing, pin holes and a small chip on the rim which can be seen in all the pictures. There is no repair or restoration...

This is a freely painted swatow dish with a pair of mandarin duck and flower spray in the centre of the dish, with tendrils around the shallow cavetto and flowers in cartouches on the rim with diaper boarders. The glaze is opaque, thick, and covers the body and foot. There are sand grits around and inside the base of the foot rim. Cir. Late Ming dynasty, 17th century.

This is a cizhou style wine jar in a baluster shape from the Yuan dynasty (1277-1367 A.D). It stands on a shallow short recessed foot-rim like a stand and then everted outward like a short “C” shaped pedestal and the everted outward and upwards to a baluster shaped body with a flat shoulder and then straight upwards towards a very short neck mouth rim. The jar is divided into four horizontal bands with design in between them...

A simple black glazed ribbed vase with foliated rim. It stand on a two tier splay high foot, then everted towards a bulb like body towards a straight neck and then slightly everted towards a foliated mouth rim.

No damage, repair or restoration. There are abrasion, minor chips, pin holes, bubble burst and minute shrinkage of the glaze. All this are shown in the picture 3. Overall it is in good condition,

This is a late Qing dynasty bamboo design yixing teapot of rectangular shape. It is dated to the Tongzhi period (1862-1874), late Qing dynasty. All the sides are shaped with the bamboo design, including the spout as well as the handle. The cover has two bamboo leave of dark green colour. On the base of the teapot, it shows the Tongzhi reign mark of the Qing dynasty. Also on the cover, it bears the seal mark of either the potter or the seal carver.

This is a small and square jarlet from the Yuan dynasty (1277-1367). It stands on a flat base and rise straight up to a flat shoulder and then towards a small vertical square mouth rim. There are two small lugs on the opposite side of the shoulder. On all four side of the jarlet, there is a drawing of a single chrysanthemum flower in copper red colour. This is a nice pair of tomb guardian, one piece in the form of a warrior and the other a mythical beast. The pair of tomb guardian is made of white earthen ware with copper green glaze. The green glazed is also nearer to the celadon glazed type. The clay, glaze and style suggest that the pair of tomb guardian suggest that this pair of tomb guardian straddles between the late Sui dynasty to the early Tang dynasty or about 7 century.

This is a Qing dynasty porcelain bee hive shaped water pot. It is sometimes referred to taibo zun or qizhao (chicken coop) in Chinese. The only difference for this piece is that this bee hive water pot does not have a neck with a small mouth. The domed shaped body has a countersunk base which is unglazed exposing the fine white colour porcelain. The pokka dot glazing makes the water pot glazing quite unusual and possibly a scarce item.
