A nice famille jaune bat motive tea cup. It has a Tonzhi seal mark both on the cover and the base of the cup and is of the period.

A minor manufacturing flaw on the cover (photo 2)and five hair lines as shown in the photos 4 and 5. two with stain and the other can be seen at certain angle only. Other than that, it is in fine condition, no chip or repair.

The height of the tea cup is 9cm and the diameter is 11.2cm

This is a charming lobed shaped tea-pot standing on four small individual feet. On one side it has a painting of a pair of sparrow in a blooming lotus pond. On the other side, it has a poem written on it. Circa. early Chinese Republic period 1940s-1950s.

No hairline crack, glaze fritting, damage, repair or restoration. The tea-pot is in good condition.

The dimension of the tea-pot: The height is 11.7cm, the length is 22cm and the width is 10cm.

This is a small Tang dynasty (618-906 A.D) sancai water dropper in the shape of a mystical animal, possibly a foo lion, in a curling up sleeping position. The water hole is created on the back of the animal.

There is no repair or restoration. Minor abrasion, pin hole, bubble burst and degradation.

The measurement of the water dropper: Height 3cm, the Width 5cm and the length is 6.6cm.

This is a very finely potted Northern Song (960 A.D – 1130 A.D) dynasty qingbai or yingqing zhadou vessel with an aqua sea greenish glazed. It stands on a flat base curving towards a deep baluster or bulbous body towards an everted wide flared mouth. zhadou are commonly used as refuse vessels placed on banqueting table as receptacles for fish or meat bones. Nice pooling of sea green colour at the neck and base of the zhadou.

This is a fine ovid yingqing meiping, It is designed with a simple incised line without the engraving of any motif. The meipimg is divided into four equal segments all divided by two parallel incised lines. Within all this incised lines, the greenish glaze can be seen pooling at the recessed part. A luted line (pic 1 and 2)can be seen at the joint between the upper and lower half of the body. Overall, a very nice and well potted yingqing meiping,

This is a fine, beautiful and brightly coloured example of a small “Jun” ware bowl which was treated as a “manufacturing defect”. The bowl is well glazed in a bright lavender colour with pooling of a bright blue sky glaze at the base of the bowl. It would have been a fine piece if not for an overglazed which has resulted in an overflow of a big pool of the glaze down to the sagger. When it cooled down, the glaze glued the base of the bowl to the sagger...

This is a rare and good quality Ming dynasty longquan celadon export ware in very good condition. The dish stands on a short foot and then everted on a slightly flat base towards a short and flat everted scalloped rim. On the inside of the base of the celadon dish, it has a rare moulded motif with a “radiating sun ray” as compared to the usual incised or moulded lotus, floral, dragon or fish design...

This is a medium-size Liao dynasty (907–1125A.D.) moulded polychrome earthenware plate with leaded glaze. It rests on a short foot rim, a flat everted base before rounding up. It has a simple floral motive. On the underside, the glaze is in dark olive green with the glaze flow stopped short at about just before the short foot rim exposing a light greyish white earthenware.

This is a Song dynasty (960 – 1276 A.D.) white glaze stem cup. It rest on a flared foot rising inwards to a short neck and then towards a everted u-shaped cup. It has a simple abstract cloud like wave motive between two bands of lines. On the underside, the white glaze flow stopped short at about half way down the stem exposing the light buff colour stoneware. A nice piece.

There is no repair or restoration. No chip or crack...

This is a blue and white brush rest for a scholar study. The brush rest is manufactured in the likeness of blue and white wares on which Arabic and Persian inscriptions appear during the reign of emperor Cheng-Te, Ming dynasty. The painting is like a scroll work know as the “Muhammadan scrolls” with inter-twining foliage.

An Arabic inscription is found on both sides of the brush rest, in the centre of the brush rest, in a diamond shape medallion...

It is a very beautiful and finely potted vase dated from the early Republic period. The vase is of ovid shape, the sides rising upwards from the base, curving in towards a slightly rounded shoulder and surmounted by a short curve neck upwards to short straight rim. The body is pure white and translucent. On the body of the vase, it is a scene of autumn period as shown by a beautiful bird perching on a tree almost bare of leaves...

This is a large and beautiful Song dynasty meiping or plum vase of baluster shape, the sides rising upwards from a slightly recessed base, curving in towards the stepped shoulder and surmounted by a short straight neck with what looks like a double ring. The body of the vase is luted together in two equal half. The upper half has a darker greenish-gray, while the lower half has slightly greenish tinge colour (picture 1). The picture no...

It is beautifully potted in an ovid form with incised foliate ground in a transparent icy green glaze, with the rounded side tapering to a short foot.

There are no repairs or restorations. There is some minor firing fault, degradation, chips at the mouth (picture 3) and minor losses. Minor scattered oxidise spot and a more a visible one shown on picture 5. Otherwise in good condition.

This is a very beautiful and finely potted Qing dynasty famille noir mille fleurs complete set of teacup, with the cover and saucer. It is painted very densely with shades of enameled pink, yellow, blue, brown, white and green with multitude of flowers and plants. This is a pair of famille rose in pastel colour and floral design tea-cup. The inside of each tea-cup has a slightly flared top and has a barbed shape rim surrounded by an intricately designed inter-connecting miniature iron red colour ruyi head. The outside of the cup is decorated with two peaches and flowers, followed by a lotus plant with a small white crane standing on one of the stem, followed by the peony and prunus flowers, and followed finally by a pheasant standing on a peony flower ste...

This is a finely potted Song dynasty (960 – 1276AD) Yaozhou Persimmon hexafoil glazed cup. It has a gently rounded sides rising from a straight foot to an everted hexafoil rim, covered overall in a lustrous with a scattered iridescent persimmon glaze. The lustrous persimmon glaze, with its thick glaze flow stopping just short of the foot to reveal a white clay body. Overall, it is a very beautiful piece.

There are no damage or any restoration to the cup. In good condition.

A beautifully red glazed porcelain brush pot with dragons’ motif. There are three dragons motif on the brush pot, flying between the heaven and the sea.
