This is heavily potted Five dynasties or Northern Song (960 A.D – 1130 A.D) dynasty Yueyao zhadou vessel. It stands on a very slightly splayed shallow foot rim with a shallow recess, everting towards a baluster shaped body and then towards a wide everted mouth rim. The whole body is covered with pale green glazed colour. Zhadou are commonly used as refuse vessels placed on banqueting table as receptacles for fish or meat bones.
There is no repair or restoration but there is extensive degradation to the glaze as shown in all the pictures.
The measurement of the yueyao zhadou: The height is 7.9cm and the diameter of mouth rim is 17.1cm.
