93 carats of luminous milky white opal with bits of fire red and blue emanating from within. These stones are mounted in a beautiful wire basket that highlight the stones' matched colors wonderfully. The play of light is not clearly visible from these photos. It has long been believed that Opals have healing power to solve depressions and help the wearer find true love. Opal jewelry should be worn as often as possible to help the gemstone receive the needed humidity from the air and from the skin of the wearer. And this is a necklace that can be worn, in an understated way everyday, or worn to adorn and dress up casual or dressy attire. In essence, a real stunner. Each stone measures 12.06mm by 14.86mm. It is 15 1/2" long and weighs 43.6 dwt. Circa 1950
