The Buccellati family first began working in the jewelry trade in Italy in the mid-eighteen century. In 1919 Mario Buccellati took over an existing firm and renamed it 'Buccellati' and their fame grew quickly. In the following years, he gained a loyal following at home at abroad and was dubbed "The Prince of Goldsmiths". Buccellati became the first Italian jeweler with a location on Fifth Avenue, New York City in 1951. Every bit of the surface of a Buccellati piece is worked and finished, often then resembling a fine piece of fabric. According to the firm, their target is a "contemporary woman with class, who likes to live with style and wear jewels on every occasion with self-assurance." In 2000, special Buccellati objects and jewels were gathered for an exhibition at the Smithsonian Museum to celebrate the firm's art and creativity.

This brooch is designed as a textured squirrel with a circular-cut ruby eye and fluffy tail, climbing up a realistically textured sterling branch. Absolutely the most amazing workmanship in the detail of this piece. Signed: Buccellati

A Cartier classic! The much adored and always sought after original and iconic trinity ring, symbolizing love, fidelity and friendship. A true classic that will forever hold a place in your heart and your fashion. This one of 18kt pink, yellow and white gold with a ribbing design on each band. Signed Cartier 18kt.

This is what Cartier says about The Trinity Ring:

Three bands. Three colors. Pink gold, yellow gold and white gold, intertwined in a display of mystery and harmony. The visionary mind of Louis Cartier created the Trinity ring in 1924. Jean Cocteau promptly made the piece his own. Encircled in the glow of the literary world inhabited by the poet, the ring quickly earned iconic status. Three types of gold. Three symbolic colors: pink for love, yellow for fidelity and white for friendship. Trinity, a timeless design devoted to life's most memorable loves.

Fabulous for the holidays or going out to dinner, these have become my new favorite earrings. Black onyx contrasts so clearly with the white of the diamonds, which shimmer so beautifully; the dangle hoop adds such a flirty femininity and they are comfortable to boot. I fell for them the minute I saw them and you will too, once you put them on.

More sapphires - my favorite colored stone. Fabulous and very finely made, these lovely 18kt white gold earrings each contain 8 round brilliant cut diamonds weighing .22ct each (total diamond weight of .45ct) and a central round bright blue sapphire of .26ct each (total sapphire weight of .53ct). The diamonds are a very white G color, SI 1 clarity. They shine beautifully and would make a wonderful 21st birthday present, wedding day earrings or just everyday wear with a t-shirt and jeans. It all depends on your personal style but infinitely wearable in any case. Subtle and beautiful; don't you just love these?

American born David Webb became the 'go to' jeweler in NY in the 1950s and 1960s with his variations of flowers and other organic themes. The discerning jewelry clientele of NY and the world flocked to him and in the 1970s, noticing the change in the times, he began designing in the new style of geometric shapes of enamel, diamonds and gold. These chic and elegant earrings are reminiscent of those designs with their rich black enamel divided into quarters by the brightest and cleanest diamonds, accented by one central diamond. Clip on earrings, comfortable to wear; refined, luxurious and classic. These will never go out of style.
