| This cinnabar box is 5 ¾ inches long, 3 7/8 inches wide and 2 inches high. The box is made of cinnabar on a wood base. It is nicely carved with figured shown among rocks set underneath some trees. This is carved by hand and tool marks can be seen in a number of spots as well as you can see where the layers were carved. We estimate this dates to circa 1900. On the bottom are the remnants of what was a written China mark. All that can be seen is the N and A. There is no damage to the piece. | ||
