bronze candelabra. This pair although very
Empire and Neoclassical fall under the reign of the Charles the X period which followed directly after the Empire period. French, circa: 1815-1825. 23"
high. Each candelabrum is in superb original Museum quality condition. Lost wax method was used to create the very fine detail and high quality bronze of which there are 33 different separately cast pieces that were created and assembled to exhibit this stunning pair. Chased and mercury gilded. The gilding is mercury gilded exhibiting a deep matt gold finish while highlights and raised areas of detail are burnished to a brilliant finish.. Superb condition on both with each still retaining their original bobeches. |
