FRENCH FAIENCE, MAJOLICA PITCHER, by the Faiencerie Onnaing Manufacturers, and signed by impression, "Frie Onnaing, France," with the pattern number "390," the impression of the sunray logo in the center of the base (very faint), the logo shield and crown (also faint). There may also be a painter's mark to the left of the sunray impression, but we cannot tell for certain. The mark dates from 1894 to 1938, and is likely sometime before 1920. This wonderful, very colorful Pitcher measures about 7-3/4" tall, 4" rim diameter, 6-1/4" from spout-to-handle, 5-1/4" base diameter. It has an irregular, foliate opening rim, and foliate base rim. The handle also has an organic theme. The style of the pitcher leans toward late Art Nouveau which fits in with our suggested age. Condition is wonderful with no damage at all. $20 US Shipping. |
